“The exhibition, subtitled in an enigmatic way, From the vacancy to
the Communes-Réunies, brings together works from the 1990s and
recent ones, as well as pieces by three young artists, Anaïs Defago,
Agnès Ferla and Marine Julié . The Geneva artist Fabrice Gygi, who
represented Switzerland at the Biennales of Cairo (1996), São Paulo
(2002) and Venice (2009), made a name for himself by exhibiting, reproduced
on a 1/1 scale, terraces athletes, voting booths, platforms
for official ceremonies or anti-riot structures, in a cold criticism of
our systems of society.”
